TSMC Posts Record Q3 Revenue, Beats Forecasts

TSMC posted record third-quarter revenue of about NT$1.49 trillion ($46.7 billion) after Taiwan markets closed Thursday, up roughly 50% from NT$989.92 billion a year earlier. September revenue was NT$511.86 billion ($16.03 billion), up 54.6% year over year and down 0.6% from August’s NT$514.81 billion. First-nine-months revenue rose 41.1% to NT$3.90 trillion. The total beat TSMC’s July guidance of $44.6 billion to $45.8 billion. Shares closed down 1.35% at NT$2,550 ahead of the release; the TAIEX fell 1%. ADRs closed 2.09% lower at $472.20 on Wednesday. After Q2 net income rose 77.4% to NT$706.56 billion, TSMC raised its 2026 growth outlook to slightly above 40%. Outlets differ on benchmarks.
