Two Men Plead Guilty in Fatal Shootings
Samuel Jordan III pleaded guilty to charges including involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault and abduction for a 2024 shooting at The Office Club in Colerain Township, Ohio, that killed Christopher Potter and wounded two others. Prosecutors dropped the murder charges under a plea agreement accepted by the victims’ families; Jordan could face up to 38.5 years in prison, with his next court date scheduled for Oct. 13. In a separate case, Fort Wayne resident Ya Sin pleaded guilty to murder in the May shooting death of Ali Gyi. Under Sin’s plea agreement, kidnapping and resisting-law-enforcement charges would be dismissed if approved by a judge, and his sentence would be capped at 52 years; sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 20.
