Women’s Events Planned Across US Communities
Several regional programs and a new literary work focus on women’s experiences, history and professional development. The South Central Pennsylvania Women’s Conference will bring participants together for a day of learning, networking and inspiration, while a Providence workshop invites attendees to explore how textiles have helped women preserve memory and advocate for change. In Los Angeles, high school students can join a free leadership boot camp examining women’s landmarks and whose stories are represented in the city’s historic landscape. The novel People Like You follows six women at different points in their lives, exploring how identity, class, family and cultural inheritance shape their choices.
