Morgan Hill Man Charged in Wife’s Death

Roy Anthony Lopez, 37, has been charged with murder and child endangerment in the death of his wife, 34-year-old Jasmyne Garcia, at their Morgan Hill home. Authorities say Lopez drove to a San Jose hospital with Garcia in his car and told staff he had killed her; she died despite lifesaving efforts. Their three children, ages 14, 6 and 3, were found at the home and placed in county protective custody. Court documents say the six-year-old witnessed the attack. Lopez appeared in court Wednesday but did not enter a plea.
