Louisiana Doctor Charged in 7-Year-Old's Florida Drowning

Louisiana physician Sukanthini Subbiah was arrested and charged with aggravated manslaughter in connection with the April 10 drowning death of seven-year-old Khushil Bandi at an Orlando-area community pool. Investigators say surveillance footage shows Khushil struggling and then submerged while Subbiah delayed taking action and eventually sought help from another adult; he was underwater for about seven minutes before being pulled from the pool. Subbiah had been supervising Khushil, his twin sister and her own son, and attempted CPR, but Khushil later died at a hospital. Her attorney says she plans to fight the charges.
