A 36-year-old Bridgeport man was stabbed in the arm during a street fight near Iranistan Avenue and State Street around 7 p.m. Friday. He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital; reports differ on the severity, with some describing the injury as non-life-threatening and another saying he underwent emergency surgery. Police arrested 36-year-old Yannick Williams of New Haven downtown shortly afterward, after an officer recognized him; police said he had a knife with what appeared to be blood on it.
