News reports of shootings never mention them, but I'm guessing that the following statistics apply in this case: - 91% of shooters in criminal attacks AND 78% of their victims have criminal histories. - 81% of weapons suspects previously have previously been arrested for weapons charges. - 1% of repeat offenders are responsible for 63% of all violent crime - 18.2 million fatherless families in the US. - 40% of babies are born to unmarried mothers (70% of Black births). - 70% to 85% of incarcerated juveniles come from fatherless homes. - 72% of adolescent murderers come from fatherless homes. - 70% of long-term prison inmates come from fatherless homes. - 80% of rapists were raised without a father. - 82% of school shooters grew up in unstable family environments or without both biological parents. - 85% of mass shooters come from fatherless families. - Children from fatherless homes are roughly six times more likely to commit criminal acts than those from dual-parent households.
