Audrey Werro of Switzerland won the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship women's 800m in Budapest, clocking 1:55.88 to beat Keely Hodgkinson and Femke Broeders-Bol as she claimed $150,000 from the event’s $10 million prize pot, capping a breakout season dominated by sub-1:54 wins. Her victory continues a narrative of Werro’s dominance and keeps alive discussions about the aging 1:53.28 world record as Hodgkinson and Broeders-Bol also challenged throughout the year.
