Rugby league icon Sir Billy Boston, a Welsh trailblazer who became the first non-white player to represent Great Britain on a Lions tour in 1954, has died at 92. He scored 478 tries in 488 appearances for Wigan, earned a knighthood in 2025, and was lauded by the Welsh Rugby Union amid tributes planned at upcoming matches after the passing of his wife, Lady Joan, just days earlier.
