SSA Set to Announce 2027 COLA Oct. 14
The Social Security Administration is expected to announce the 2027 cost-of-living adjustment on Oct. 14, after September inflation data complete the CPI-W calculation. Forecasts put the increase at about 3.5% to 3.6%, above 2026’s 2.8%; the agency is also expected to release updates affecting workers and beneficiaries, including the earnings-test limit and taxable earnings cap.
