About Galician Language Association

The Galician Language Association is a Galician linguistic and cultural association founded on 31 October 1981. Its objectives are the promotion and standardization of the Galician language, understanding it to be the same language as Portuguese. It is the main entity of the reintegrationist movement and is responsible, through its Comissom Linguística, for codifying the international Galician norm, which converges with the norm used in Portuguese.
