At the National Census of 2006, its population was 9,987 in 2,621 households. There were 9,974 inhabitants in 2,919 households at the following census of 2011. At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 11,310 in 3,533 households. The largest of its 50 villages was Faruq (now a city), with 5,860 people.
