Media Matters for America (MMfA) is a nonprofit left-leaning and progressive watchdog journalism organization. Founded in 2004 by journalist and political activist David Brock as a counterweight to the conservative Media Research Center, it seeks to spotlight "conservative misinformation" in American media; its methods include issuing reports and quick responses.
