Lions defeat Commanders 17-13 in preseason

Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn criticized the team’s preseason showing as disjointed and pledged to tighten complementary football, with ongoing work to sort center depth and protect quarterback Jayden Daniels while highlighting Sam Cosmi’s strong play. Meanwhile, undrafted rookie Jaden Bradley has emerged as a bright spot at receiver, drawing Quinn’s praise for his competitiveness and big-play potential, as other teams emphasized the evaluative takeaways from the Lions’ win and the ongoing personnel battles for Week 1 readiness.
