Odunze sustains apparent leg injury in Bears practice

The Chicago Bears’ Rome Odunze remains a central, versatile asset for Ben Johnson’s offense, praised for doing the “little things” including blocking and physical play, with the coaching staff counting on him as a key cog even as multiple receivers share targets. While Odunze has dealt with foot injuries in past seasons, summer reports indicate no issues this year, though recent practice notes mention an apparent leg injury and other receivers like Luther Burden III also dealing with bumps, signaling a cautious path to the season and ongoing evaluation of his health and role in 2026.
