Anthropic Opens Bay Area Wet Lab for AI Biology Work
Anthropic released Bloom and Petri as open-source tools for automated behavioral evaluations and auditing of frontier AI models, offering a structured, replicable framework for testing model behavior. Separately, it rolled out the Life Sciences Verification Program to gate access to Mythos 5.1 and other biology-focused models for vetted life-sciences researchers, with safeguards and two grant types (Standard Use and High-risk Use) and broader access planned.
