The Minnesota Twins are promoting top outfield prospect Walker Jenkins, 21, to make his MLB debut Friday against the Chicago White Sox, filling a center-field vacancy after Byron Buxton’s hip injury as they pursue a postseason push. Jenkins arrives on the heels of an outstanding minor-league run and is widely regarded as one of the organization’s best prospects, with high rankings across MLB pipelines and scouting outlets.
