College Football Injury Concerns Hit Three Teams
Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. is unlikely to play Friday against Purdue after suffering a rib injury in the Huskies’ loss to Iowa, though coach Jedd Fisch says his status remains day to day. Williams did not practice Monday, and backup Elijah Brown took the first-team reps; Fisch said a significant improvement would be needed for Williams to play. Brown completed 28 of 39 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns after replacing Williams, who left the game in the second quarter.
