Louisville routs Florida State 44-20, extends FSU road skid
Isaac Brown broke for a 97-yard touchdown on the first play after a fourth-down stop and finished with a career-high 235 yards and two scores as Louisville beat Florida State 44-20 on October 9, 2026, at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. Louisville trailed 14-0 before scoring 35 unanswered points, amassed 397 rushing yards and 537 total yards, and outgained Florida State 438-190 after the stop. Lincoln Kienholz scored two rushing touchdowns, including a 3-yard run after Brown's 71-yard second-half kickoff return. Brown added a 68-yard touchdown in the fourth. Ashton Daniels went 21 of 37 for 209 yards and two touchdowns and a rushing score; Florida State finished with 362 yards. Yahoo Sports places the failed fourth down at the Louisville 2; ESPN has Kaleb Beasley stopping Jasen Lopez at the 3. Mike Norvell called it "an extremely poor performance by us," adding, "Too many times, we didn't show the detail, the discipline, the mental toughness that's necessary on the road. And it starts with me." Florida State has lost 11 straight true road games and 13 straight away from Doak Campbell Stadium. Norvell said a huge rivalry game is next but "we have to get tonight fixed." Vinny (@thatJewVinny) said Brown's run broke his grandfather Ken Porco's 93-yard record from 1958: "Rest in Peace, Pop."
