Jury Convicts Man in Albuquerque Crash That Paralyzed Teen
An Albuquerque jury convicted Austin Kevin Jones of great bodily injury by vehicle through reckless driving after he crashed into a car driven by a 19-year-old woman in September 2024. Prosecutors said Jones was trying to catch up with two muscle cars street racing when he struck the woman, who suffered injuries that left her paralyzed. The district attorney said the conviction holds Jones accountable for the devastating harm caused by his actions.
