Vineland Woman Convicted of Murdering Girlfriend With Car
A jury convicted 24-year-old Breanna Rowley of murder and other offenses for intentionally striking and killing her girlfriend, 21-year-old Caroline Bump, with a car in Millville in October 2024. Prosecutors said Rowley drove away without seeking help, then hid the damaged vehicle in Salem County and tried to repair it; evidence presented at trial included surveillance footage, while the defense argued she did not know she had hit Bump and had no motive to harm her. Rowley faces a sentence of 30 years to life in prison, with a mandatory minimum of 30 years before parole eligibility, according to prosecutors.
