Bridgeport Man Charged in Trumbull Daycare Car Theft

A 32-year-old Bridgeport man, Latrell Eppes, was arrested Sept. 20 after a Trumbull daycare reported an overnight break-in in which about $1,200 and a vehicle were stolen. Police tracked the vehicle to a Bridgeport convenience-store parking lot, where officers say they saw Eppes get into it and arrested him. Police said he had cash believed to include the stolen money, suspected narcotics and the vehicle’s keys. Eppes faces burglary, vehicle-larceny, narcotics-possession and related charges; he was held on $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court Sept. 30.
