President Donald Trump rallied Saturday in Vandalia, Ohio, for Republican Sen. Jon Husted against Democrat Sherrod Brown. Trump told voters to turn out so Republicans would "win big, and we're going to shove it up their ass," predicted "a big surprise because they don't know what's happening," and pledged a 32-day blitz before the November 3 midterms after stops in Texas, Oklahoma, and Alabama. Husted said he was not asking anyone to winter at Valley Forge, serve at Gettysburg, or storm the beaches of Normandy—only to vote. Ohio gasoline prices rose 35% over the past year to $4.16 a gallon on average, per AAA. Canadian retaliatory tariffs affect about $3 billion in Ohio exports, per CBC 2025 figures. Nearly 1,400 workers were laid off at a Springfield truck factory days earlier. Trump defended data centers, saying there is "so much money to be made for Ohio" and that turning them off would send projects to China, drawing a more muted crowd reaction than other topics. Outside, Jonathan Smith, 19, held a sign reading "Where are my lower gas prices?" and said he is still deciding his Senate vote. Brenda White held a "DATA CENTER SOUTH LORAIN" sign and asked Husted to back a data center over a steel mill; a man in Husted's entourage asked her to remove the sign for a photo. CONTESTED: Brown spokesperson Lauren Chou said Husted puts corporations and billionaires first and criticized his support for Trump's Iran policy. Husted asked what Brown had done for voters after 50 years in office and said the U.S. must win the Iran war "on our terms" while he is "showing people that I'm fighting for lower prices."

“Trump Rallies Ohio in Tight Senate Race”Brown has a point about wealthy interests but Husted seems more likely to actually deliver results for regular workers.
Husted should focus on ending the Iran mess instead of letting Brown distract with those corporate attacks.
Trump needs to keep pushing on prices at these rallies because that's what matters most to Ohio families right now.
