Guardians Eliminate White Sox in ALDS Game 5

The Chicago White Sox’s postseason run ended with a 2-0 loss to the Cleveland Guardians in Game 5 of the American League Division Series, after Chicago had won the first two games and then dropped three straight. Munetaka Murakami went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts in the deciding game and finished the series with four hits, a home run and four RBIs in 19 at-bats. Despite the elimination, Murakami said he felt fortunate to play for Chicago and was genuinely happy to experience postseason baseball with the White Sox. His power had helped the team early in the series, but Cleveland’s comeback ended Chicago’s chance to advance.
